Mark and Monica are a husband and wife writing and producing team based in Los Angeles.  They each draw from their vastly different lived experience and personal taste in storytelling to create captivating and well-rounded narratives.

Their brand is a distinct nod to the grandeur and glamour of the best of Hollywood cinema.  Relatable heroes, big stakes, high concept and broadly entertaining stories, always imbued with inventive style and a fresh point of view.

As a team they gravitate toward writing feature dramas and thrillers, but Mark and Monica’s most recent writing assignment, a family-friendly urban School of Rock inspired feature was a nod to their extensive range of writing skills.  Although they write features together, they occasionally develop and write TV pilots separately.

From beat board to first draft, they have refined a process that allows them to deliver high quality work at a prolific rate. It’s a testament to their motivation, varied strengths, synergy, and love of the creative journey.

Mark and Monica have had a busy year, setting up a feature at Disney from a pitch, writing three new features and three pilots.  They’ve accrued numerous screenwriting accolades and recognition from prestigious entities and competitions, including Film Independent, ScreenCraft, Nicholl Fellowship, Storyline, Emerging Screenwriters Genre Competition, ISA Fast Track, and many more, along with cracking the coveted Coverfly Red List.
